Modern hand knitting patterns inspired by the landscapes of the west
About me
Hello! I’m Briana — knitwear designer, rock climber, traveler, and cat lover based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I believe slow crafts matter more than ever in a world that often feels chaotic and unjust. For me, knitting is a way to hold complicated emotions—grief and defiance, softness and resistance—and to turn them into something tangible, stitch by stitch. It’s also deeply about community: a reminder that creativity is participation, that small acts add up, and that joy and conviction can—and should—coexist.
KIND WORDS
❝
This is the first time I’ve been able to approach a colorwork yoke without having to compromise on the body size or to rework the sleeve design in order to accommodate my arms. I cannot begin to explain how much that means to me…I’ve already been hyping the inclusivity of this design because it’s such a profound relief to be able to approach garment knitting thinking about my body’s pleasure over my body as a problem to solve.

I’m here to tell you the tide will never stop coming in.
I’m here to tell you whatever you build will be ruined, so make it beautiful.
